Web Usability

To develop a good website which users find easy to use requires a very big change in YOUR mindset. You know how the site works - your first-time user does not.

And all your users are "first-time" at least once.

Furthermore most websites are infrequently used - so your user has forgotten their previous experience (unless it was very bad!) and so they are in this "first-time" mode again.

The Golden Rule is "Don't make me Think". This is the title of an excellent book by Steve Krug. It is a "must" read.
